Universal Description, Discovery, and Integration
UDDI

   <standard, protocol> (UDDI) The service discovery {protocol}
   for {Web Services} through which companies can find one
   another to conduct business.  This standard was unveiled by
   {Ariba}, {IBM}, {Microsoft}, and 33 other companies in
   September 2000.
