Hendecane \Hen"de*cane\, n. [Gr. "e`ndeka eleven.] (Chem.)
   A hydrocarbon, {C11H24}, of the paraffin series; -- so called
   because it has eleven atoms of carbon in each molecule.
   Called also {endecane}, {undecane}.
