Lecanoric \Lec`a*no"ric\, a. (Chem.)
   Pertaining to, or designating, an organic acid which is
   obtained from several varieties of lichen ({Lecanora},
   {Roccella}, etc.), as a white, crystalline substance, and is
   called also {orsellic acid}, {diorsellinic acid},
   {lecanorin}, etc.
