Kynurenic \Ky`nu*ren"ic\, a. [Gr. ?, ?, dog + ? urine.]
   (Physiol. Chem.)
   Pertaining to, or designating, an acid obtained from the
   urine of dogs. By decomposition the acid yields a nitrogenous
   base (called kynurin) and carbonic acid. [Written also
   {cynurenic}.]
