Chrysarobin \Chrys`a*ro"bin\, n. [Gr. chryso`s gold + araroba a
   foreign name of Goa powder + -in.] (Chem.)
   A bitter, yellow substance forming the essential constituent
   of Goa powder, and yielding chrysophanic acid proper; hence
   formerly called also {chrysphanic acid}.
