Achromic \A*chro"mic\, a. [Gr. ? colorless; ? priv. + ? color.]
Free from color; colorless; as, in (Physiol. Chem.), the
achromic point of a starch solution acted upon by an
amylolytic enzyme is the point at which it fails to give any
color with iodine.
