Wince \Wince\, n. [See {Winch}.] (Dyeing & Calico Printing)
   A reel used in dyeing, steeping, or washing cloth; a winch.
   It is placed over the division wall between two wince pits so
   as to allow the cloth to descend into either compartment. at
   will.
