Stint \Stint\, n. (Zool.)
   (a) Any one of several species of small sandpipers, as the
       sanderling of Europe and America, the dunlin, the little
       stint of India ({Tringa minuta}), etc. Called also
       {pume}.
   (b) A phalarope.
