Weeping willow \Weep"ing wil"low\ (Bot.)
   a tree ({Salix babylonica}) of the willow family with slender
   leaves, native to China, whose branches grow very long and
   slender, and hang down almost perpendicularly. It grows best

   cultivated as an ornamental tree.
