Retail \Re*tail"\ (r[-e]*t[=a]l"), v. t. [imp. & p. p.

   1. To sell in small quantities, as by the single yard, pound,
      gallon, etc.; to sell directly to the consumer; as, to
      retail cloth or groceries.
