Parhelion \Par*hel"ion\, n.; pl. {Parhelia}. [L. parelion, Gr. ?, ?; para` beside + ? the sun.] A mock sun appearing in the form of a bright light, sometimes near the sun, and tinged with colors like the rainbow, and sometimes opposite to the sun.
