Paludina \Pal`u*di"na\, n.; pl. L. {Paludin[ae]}, E. {Paludinas}. [NL., fr. L. palus, -udis, a marsh, pool.] (Zool.) Any one of numerous species of freshwater pectinibranchiate mollusks, belonging to {Paludina}, {Melantho}, and allied genera.
