Sesame \Ses"a*me\, n. [L. sesamum, sesama, Gr. ????, ???: cf. F.

   Either of two annual herbaceous plants of the genus {Sesamum}
   ({Sesamum Indicum}, and {Sesamum orientale}), from the seeds
   of which an oil is expressed; also, the small obovate,
