Horse-radish \Horse"-rad`ish\, n. (Bot.)
   A plant of the genus {Nasturtium} ({Nasturtium Armoracia}),
   allied to scurvy grass, having a root of a pungent taste,
   much used, when grated, as a condiment and in medicine.
