Jew's-ear \Jew's"-ear`\, Jew's-ears \Jew's"-ears`\, n. (Bot.)
   A widely distributed species of edible fungus ({Auricularia
   auricula-judae}, formerly {Hirneola Auricula-Jud[ae]}, or
   {Hirneola Auricula}), bearing some resemblance to the human
   ear and growing on decaying wood.
