Colorado beetle \Col`o*ra"do bee"tle\ (Zool.)
   A yellowish beetle ({Doryphora decemlineata}), with ten
   longitudinal, black, dorsal stripes. It has migrated
   eastwards from its original habitat in Colorado, and is very
   destructive to the potato plant; -- called also {potato
