   crystalline substance, {C20H24N2O2}. Hence, by extension
   (Med.), any of the salts of this alkaloid, as the acetate,
   chloride, sulphate, etc., employed as a febrifuge or
   antiperiodic. Called also {quinia}, {quinina}, etc. [Written
