   p. p. {Carburized}; p. pr. & vb. n. {Carburizing}.] (Chem.)
   To combine with carbon or a carbon compound; -- said esp. of
   a process for conferring a higher degree of illuminating
   power on combustible gases by mingling them with a vapor of
   volatile hydrocarbons.
