Xenelasia \Xen`e*la"si*a\, n. [NL., from Gr. xenhlasi`a
   expulsion of strangers.] (Gr. Antiq.)
   A Spartan institution which prohibited strangers from
   residing in Sparta without permission, its object probably
   being to preserve the national simplicity of manners.
