Stalk-eyed \Stalk"-eyed`\ (st[add]k"[imac]d`), a. (Zool.)
   Having the eyes raised on a stalk, or peduncle; -- opposed to
   {sessile-eyed}. Said especially of podophthalmous
   crustaceans.
