Rhipidoglossa \Rhi*pi`do*glos"sa\, n. pl. [NL., fr. Gr. ??? a
   fan + ???? a tongue.] (Zool.)
   A division of gastropod mollusks having a large number of
   long, divergent, hooklike, lingual teeth in each transverse
   row. It includes the scutibranchs. See Illustration in
   Appendix.
