Picamar \Pic"a*mar`\, n. [L. pix, picis, pitch + amarus bitter.]
   (Chem.)
   An oily liquid hydrocarbon extracted from the creosote of
   beechwood tar. It consists essentially of certain derivatives
   of pyrogallol.
