Petrosal \Pe*tro"sal\, a. [See {Petrous}.] (Anat.)
   (a) Hard; stony; petrous; as, the petrosal bone; petrosal
       part of the temporal bone.
   (b) Of, pertaining to, or in the region of, the petrous, or
       petrosal, bone, or the corresponding part of the temporal
       bone.
