Ophiophagus \O`phi*oph"a*gus\, n. [NL. See {Ophiophagous}.]
   (Zool.)
   A genus of venomous East Indian snakes, which feed on other
   snakes. {Ophiophagus elaps} is said to be the largest and
   most deadly of poisonous snakes.
