Official Production System

   <language> (OPS) The first {production system} (i.e. rule
   based) programming language, developed at {CMU} in 1970 and
   used for building {expert systems}.  OPS was originally
   written in {Franz Lisp} and later ported to other {LISP}
   dialects.
