Meroblastic \Mer`o*blas"tic\, a. (Biol.)
   Consisting only in part of germinal matter; characterized by
   partial segmentation only; as, meroblastic ova, in which a
   portion of the yolk only undergoes fission; meroblastic
   segmentation; -- opposed to holoblastic.
