   le`wn, le`ontos, lion + 'odoy`s, 'odo`ntos, tooth. Cf.
   {Lion's-tooth}, {Dandelion}.] (Bot.)
   A genus of liguliflorous composite plants, including the fall
   dandelion ({Leontodon autumnale}), and formerly the true
   dandelion; -- called also {lion's tooth}.
