Lindia \Lin"di*a\ (l[i^]n"d[i^]*[.a]), n. [NL.] (Zool.)
   A peculiar genus of rotifers, remarkable for the absence of
   ciliated disks. By some Zoologists it is thought to be like
   the ancestral form of the Arthropoda.
