   {Imbuing}.] [L. imbuere; pref. im- in + perh. a disused
   simple word akin to L. bibere to drink. Cf. {Imbibe}.]
   1. To tinge deeply; to dye; to cause to absorb; as, clothes
      thoroughly imbued with black.
