Hemialbumose \Hem`i*al"bu"mose`\, n. [Hemi- + albumose.]
   (Physiol. Chem.)
   An albuminous substance formed in gastric digestion, and by
   the action of boiling dilute acids on albumin. It is readily
   convertible into hemipeptone. Called also {hemialbumin}.
