Deuterozooid \Deu`ter*o*zo"oid\, n. [Gr. ? second + E. zooid.]
   (Zool.)
   One of the secondary, and usually sexual, zooids produced by
   budding or fission from the primary zooids, in animals having
   alternate generations. In the tapeworms, the joints are
   deuterozooids.
