   the tree: cf. Sp. sebesten.] (Bot.)
   The mucilaginous drupaceous fruit of two East Indian trees
   ({Cordia Myxa}, and {Cordia latifolia}), sometimes used
   medicinally in pectoral diseases.

   Note: In the West Indies the name is given to the similar
         fruit of {Cordia Sebestana}.
