   to OS. garu, OHG. garo, G. gar, Icel. gerr perfect, g["o]rva
   quite, G. gerben to tan, to curry, OHG. garawen, garwen, to
   make ready. Cf. {Carouse}, {Garb} clothing, {Gear}, n.]
   Ready; dexterous; eager; lively; quick to move. [Obs.] "Be
