Tophus \To"phus\, n.; pl. {Tophi}. [NL.: cf. F. tophus a mineral concretion in the joint. See {Toph}.] [Written also {tofus}.] 1. (Med.) One of the mineral concretions about the joints, and in other situations, occurring chiefly in gouty persons.
