Tabor \Ta"bor\, n. [OF. tabor, tabour, F. tambour; cf. Pr. tabor, tanbor, Sp. & Pg. tambor, atambor, It. tamburo; all fr. Ar. & Per. tamb?r a kind of lute, or giutar, or Per. tab[imac]r a drum.
