Siphonata \Si`pho*na"ta\, n. pl. [NL.] (Zool.)
   A tribe of bivalve mollusks in which the posterior mantle
   border is prolonged into two tubes or siphons. Called also
   {Siphoniata}. See {Siphon}, 2
