   an Oriental people mentioned by Ptolemy, or Ar. Sin China or
   the Chinese + Gr. lo`gos discourse; formed like theologue:
   cf. F. sinologue.]
   A student of China and the Chinese; one versed in the Chinese
   language, literature, history, politics and culture.
