Parboil \Par"boil`\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Parboiled}; p. pr. &
   vb. n. {Parboiling}.] [OE. parboilen, OF. parbouillir to cook
   well; par through (see {Par}) + bouillir to boil, L. bullire.
   The sense has been influenced by E. part. See 1st {Boil}.]
