Namaycush \Nam"ay*cush\, n. [Indian name.] (Zool.)
   A large North American lake trout ({Salvelinus namaycush}).
   It is usually spotted with red, and sometimes weighs over
   forty pounds. Called also {Mackinaw trout}, {lake trout},
   {lake salmon}, {salmon trout}, {togue}, and {tuladi}.
