Jungermannia \Jun`ger*man"ni*a\, prop. n.; pl.
   {Jungermanni[ae]}. [NL. Named after Ludwig Jungermann, a
   German botanist.] (Bot.)
   A genus of hepatic mosses, now much circumscribed, but
   formerly comprising most plants of the family, which is
   sometimes therefore called {Jungermanniace[ae]}.
