   (Zool.)
   A division of Arachnoidea, including the {daddy longlegs} or
   {harvestman} ({Phalangium}) and many similar kinds. They have
   long, slender, many-jointed legs; usually a rounded,
   segmented abdomen; and chelate jaws. They breathe by
   trache[ae]. Called also {{Phalangides}}, {{Phalangidea}},
   {{Phalangiida}}, and {{Opilionea}}.
