Gross \Gross\, a. [Compar. {Grosser}; superl. {Grossest}.] [F.
   gros, L. grossus, perh. fr. L. crassus thick, dense, fat, E.
   crass, cf. Skr. grathita tied together, wound up, hardened.

   1. Great; large; bulky; fat; of huge size; excessively large.
