Generic Array Logic

   <hardware, integrated circuit> (GAL) A newer kind of
   {Programmable Array Logic} based on {EEPROM} storage cells,
   been pioneered by {Lattice}.  GALs can be erased and
   reprogrammed and usually replace a whole set of different PALs
   (hence the name).
