Debruised \De*bruised"\, a. [Cf. OF. debruisier to shatter,
   break. Cf. {Bruise}.] (Her.)
   Surmounted by an ordinary; as, a lion is debruised when a
   bend or other ordinary is placed over it, as in the cut.
