Trident \Tri"dent\ (tr[imac]"dent), n. [L. tridens, -entis; tri-
(see {Tri-}) + dens tooth: cf. F. trident. See {Tooth}.]
1. (Class Myth.) A kind of scepter or spear with three
prongs, -- the common attribute of Neptune.
